Course Overview

In this section you will cover the basics of gas combustion; combustion analysis for both efficiency and safety; and the AHRI “Induced Draft Heat Exchanger Inspection Procedure”. The Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) procedure is an industry recommended heat exchanger inspection method. We review this method in detail. Partner with us to keep up to date on all your certification needs.

COMBUSTION ANALYSIS & HEAT EXCHANGER TESTING COURSE OVERVIEW

GAS FLAME COLOR

Flame color is caused by a highly exothermic reaction that cause a reaction that takes place in a thin zone. The blue flame as you see in furnaces indicates that gas is being burned efficiently without any unburned and wasted gas.

This course will highlight the importance of a proper flame and how to know when there is a serious problem. Understanding the burner performance, common tests procedures and repair options will be discussed as well.
